With a glossary, you have the possibility to define terms and words, such as technical terms or foreign words, from your articles.

The glossary terms will appear in two places in the live map: 

1. In the table of contents under the heading "Glossary". Here, all terms are listed in alphabetical order and the respective definition can be opened by clicking on a word.
2. Within your articles, the defined words are automatically marked with a dotted underline. When hovering or clicking on them, the corresponding definition is displayed in a small tooltip pop-up.  

Create glossary

To create a glossary, please select the tool for "Glossary" from the left toolbar. A form will open in which you can enter terms and definitions. 

For new descriptions, click on the button "New term" (1). 

A new field opens in which you can define the term as follows:

Enter your desired word in this field. Pay attention to upper and lower case for all terms. If several variants are possible, use the form field "Alternative versions" and separate the terms with a semicolon.

Alternatives and Synonyms (3) 

Alternative spellings and synonyms can be entered in these fields. Separate the words with a semicolon.

Definition (4)

Add a short description or definition of your term. Save everything at the end.

Tip: Do not use terms that are too general and occur frequently in your map, otherwise the glossary tooltip will appear everywhere, which can be confusing.
