Academic Evaluation Centre (APS Certificate)

What is APS?

 

The APS (Akademische Prüfstelle, Academic Test Centre) is a joint institution of the German Embassy and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).  APS was first established in China in 2001, followed by Vietnam in 2007 and now India in 2022.

 

The APS checks the authenticity of educational biographies and the corresponding educational certificates and issues the APS certificate if the result is positive. For these countries, the APS certificate is a requirement for applying to a German university.

 

It is also a prerequisite for your visa application. It is suggested that students should complete the APS process before their application with the German university to keep processing times at a minimum.
