Cabs in Munich

There are three ways to hail a taxi in Munich:

 

  • Use a hand signal to stop a passing taxi.

  • Go to the taxi ranks, which are usually located in the city center, on large squares and at subway/train stations, such as the Hauptbahnhof or Odeonsplatz.

  • Hail a taxi by phone or app for pick-up at your destination.

 

Good news: From September 1, 2023, passengers in Munich are able to agree on a fixed price before starting their journey. The advantage for you: if traffic jams or detours occur during a journey, the previously agreed fare remains valid.
