Build and Edit Structure
As soon as you open a map project, the design settings of the left toolbar will be open. In the first view you will find all the tools to draw nodes, draw lines and make general design settings.
1. Draw node
Select this tool and click on the map - a node is drawn! For new nodes, the default design defined in the global design settings is always applied.
2. Object templates
In this section you can see all object templates for nodes and lines. If you select one, you can edit the template directly in the settings window.
3. Draw connection
Select this tool to draw a line between two nodes. To do this, first click on the first node (this is marked with a small + symbol next to the node number) and then select the second node - the line is drawn. When drawing connecting lines, the default design defined in the global design settings is always applied.
4. Set global design
Whether standard design for the dots, typography of the content boxes, line design or settings for elements such as tooltips, table of contents or editor: in the global design settings you can adjust and specify the basic design for all elements.

5. Map settings
The size of the drawing area, background of the map or behaviour of read nodes: You can make basic settings in these map settings. More information can be found in the section Basic settings.
Toolbar for selected elements
The left toolbar adjusts automatically as soon as you select a node or a line. In addition to the quick toolbar, you can use the toolbar on the left to call up setting forms for the elements directly.
1. Node design
If you select this tool, the extended settings window for your node will open. Here you can set the size and design of your dot, add media and modify the typographic settings.
These advanced design settings also allow you to save and create your own object templates. In the last section of this settings window you have the option to create a new object template with the previously set settings, to update an existing one or to discard changes.
2. Edit contents
If you have selected an item, you can use this tool to access the extended form for the item content you want to add to your item.
When you have selected a line, the icon that leads to the advanced design settings for your line automatically appears in the toolbar on the left.
