Manage
General
Settings
In the basic settings you manage all the settings for your account. Everything you enter here applies to all your map projects. In addition to the general settings, you will also find the user administration, your analytics settings and your invoices.
- General settings
-
Here you can edit the general profile of your company as well as the domain settings for your map projects.
You can choose between a CNAME domain or an individual KontextMaps subdomain. In any case: This setting applies to all your map projects and always forms the domain root for each map.
You can find more about URL customisation here.
Here you can customise the company name.
Optionally, you can insert your company logo via the upload button. Select a .jpg or .png in the file manager and upload it.
If you want to delete the logo, click on the delete symbol on the right.
If you want to transfer your live map directly to an external domain and use CNAME, enter the subdomain to which the map should be transferred in this form field. Learn more about the use of CNAME in the article "Going Live".
As an alternative to a CNAME redirect, you can create a custom Kontext Maps subdomain. Learn more about customising the URL in the article "Going Live".
- User administration
-
Manage all user accounts here. You can distinguish between the roles of administrator, editor, student* or guest for each user.
Users can only be added and managed by administrators.
To create a new user, click on the button "Add new user", fill in all fields and then save the settings of the user. The following roles are available for selection:
Admin
The administrator has all reading, writing and administrative rights for the map account. Admins can, among other things, manage payments and licences and carry out account administration.
Editor
The editor can fully edit and read the map, but has no administrative rights.
Student*
Students can edit the map like an editor, but have fewer options available. With this permission restriction, the student role can focus on creating a map without having to deal with advanced content settings or web settings.
Guest
Users with the Guest role can only read the live map or a preview map and do not have access to the map editor.
- Analytics settings
-
If you want to analyse what is happening on your map or in your projects, you can enter your own Google Property ID in the Analytics settings. You will then receive a detailed analysis in your Google Analytics. For this analysis, the IP addresses of the readers are anonymised.
We follow the discussions and legislation surrounding the use of Google Analytics very closely. Therefore, another Analytics option will be available soon. For more information, please contact our support.
- Contract management
- In this section you can find invoices, payment information and manage your licence and payment methods.
*Hinweis: Diese Option ist nicht in allen Paketen vorhanden.
